The method of recording the frame required for news. Lightweigth, easy-to-use cameras are used here. There is no preparation here. No script or pre-planning is done. The incident is filmed live at the scene. The creativity and ability to capture images of the news cameraman are important here. 

*EFP (Electronic Field Production)   


Filming takes place here, away from the television branches. Examples of EFP include documentaries, colorful teledramas, musicals and dramas.  This has a pre-plan and a script. Only one camera is use here. But only in special cases are two or more cameras used. Editing is then done in the editing studio. 


*Studio Production     




This is done in a television studio. Her the background related to the program is artificially created. Multiple cameras are used in a studio program. There are two types of recordings. 
                 (I)  Live Recording 
                 (II) Live to top 
 Examples of this include talk show, news broadcasts, and musical programs. For this, preliminary training is carried out several times. This is being recorded live. There is a live version. Due to its success, studio recording is now often done.

 
* OB Bus (out side broad casting production)  

Editing and recording are done at the same time as recording at an external location. Equipped with all the necessary equipment for recording and features that an editing and studio should have. The moments recorded here are broadcasted instantly. A bus is used for these purposes.

THE FOUNDING AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE UNIVERSITU OF THE VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS (1980-1993)

            In the early days, a course in Painting and Sculpture was started. That was in the year 1892 at Maradana Technical College. Later it was brought to the Heywood Building, Colombo 07. It was called the Government College of Fine Arts. Later, those courses were started at Albert Chandrawankaya No.21 to teach  music and dance subjects. SRI LANKAN KOLAM TRADITION.

  Kolam is a famous folk drama in Sri Lanka. The Kolam tradition is famous on the southern of Sri Lanka. It is believed that this was created by the people of the Southern province. But there is no specific time when this originated. There is a birth story here in which a Kolam was performed to appease the queen of the great king Sammatha. There are several purposes of Kolam dancing.
